Two minutes, once in a while
Read the update when it arrives. Each one says what is proposed, which policy applies, and what happens next, in plain language. Nothing else is required of you.
Start with why this farmland is rare, then read the agritourism vision and where it stands.

One conversation, one forward
Send this site to someone who lives here. Mention it at your HOA, your church, your school pickup, your farmers market. Most residents have never been told that Oceanside still has farmland worth keeping, and that the plans meant to protect it are already written.
Keep it about the land and the process, not about individuals. That is what makes our case hard to dismiss.

An hour, when it counts
Attend a hearing, submit a written comment, or simply sit in the room. Public bodies count the residents in front of them. When an item is scheduled, our alert will include the date, the address, the deadline for written comment, and a short outline of the points at issue.
You never have to speak. Presence is participation.
